King Claims Dual Big West Honors After Leading Beach to Perfect Weekend

Long Beach State freshman earns Offensive and Freshman of the Week awards after standout performances against UC Santa Barbara and Cal Poly.
LONG BEACH, Calif. — Long Beach State's Logan King was named Big West Offensive and Big West Freshman of the Week, the league announced Oct. 4.
King averaged 4.88 points, 4.38 kills and 2.25 digs per set as the Beach recorded back-to-back 3-1 victories against UC Santa Barbara and Cal Poly on Oct. 3-4. She recorded her fifth double-double of the season (14k-10d) against UCSB, then set her season best with 21 kills against Cal Poly. The 6-foot-2 opposite added eight digs, four blocks and four assists against the Mustangs.
The Beach (11-4, 4-0 Big West) resume action Thursday night at UC Riverside. ESPN+ coverage begins at 7 p.m.
