Long Beach Built is a new marketing initiative recognizing our community, one that helps shape us and gives us strength to accomplish greatness.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Long Beach State Athletics announced today the launch of a new marketing initiative, Long Beach Built, which will incorporate all 19 Division I athletics programs as well as the department as a whole. This initiative embodies the spirit, resilience, and excellence that define our student-athletes, coaches, and the broader Long Beach community.
Featuring strong visual elements that represent Long Beach State Athletics, the messaging "Long Beach Built" reflects the connection between the University and the City of Long Beach, emphasizing loyalty, passion and the unique character of this community and Long Beach State Athletics. Long Beach Built is more than just a slogan. It is a testament to the strength and character of our teams, the pride of our university, and the unwavering support of our fans. This campaign underscores our commitment to building champions on and off the field, and to fostering a culture of unity, tradition, and achievement within the Long Beach community.
"As we look forward to the 2024-25 season, Long Beach Built serves as a powerful reminder of who we are and what we stand for," said Bobby Smitheran, Executive Athletics Director of Long Beach State. "This campaign is about celebrating the incredible journey of our student-athletes, the rich history of our institution, and the deep connection we share with the city of Long Beach. Together, we are building something truly special—champions, traditions, and a legacy that will endure."
The campaign will feature a series of pole banners outside the iconic Walter Pyramid, digital content across all social media channels, and community outreach initiatives that highlight the core message of Long Beach Built. Additionally, teaser posts were roll out across our social media platforms in the weeks leading up to the official campaign launch, building excitement and anticipation among students, alumni, and fans alike. The campaign will also integrate with game day promotions, recruitment efforts, and community events throughout the year, ensuring a consistent and powerful presence across all platforms.
We invite everyone to join us in celebrating what it means to be Long Beach Built; to be part of something greater, to contribute to a legacy of excellence, and to support our student-athletes as they pursue greatness.
