Pickleball In The Pyramid Returns In Support Of Women’s Basketball

LONG BEACH, Calif. – Long Beach State Women's Basketball and Southland Credit Union are once again combining for Pickleball In The Pyramid, the second annual iteration of the event in support of Women's Basketball student-athletes at the Beach.

"The women's basketball program is excited to welcome the Long Beach community back to the Walter Pyramid for our second annual Pickleball in the Pyramid event," said women's basketball head coach Amy Wright. "This year will be bigger and better as this will be a two-day pickleball event with multiple categories of competition. The response and support received from the community last year gave us the excitement to hold this wonderful event again to bring community together as well as support the Long Beach State women's basketball team! Come join us October 26th & 27th!"
Expanding to two days, the event will begin on Saturday, October 26 with competition including Singles, Team Pickleball, Team Pickleball for Students and Round Robins with rotating partners throughout the day in the Kinesiology Building. The competition portion will then continue in the Walter Pyramid, East and West Gyms on Sunday, October 27, featuring Women's Men's and Mixed Doubles in skill levels ranging from 2.0 to an advance Open Division.
Registration by September 20 is just $65 per person and includes a Nike T-Shirt, goodie bag and a meet and greet with the Long Beach State Women's Basketball team. Registration is encouraged in multiple events at only $25 each.
