Supa Earns A Pair Of Big West Awards

Supa is named Offensive and Freshman of the Week
LONG BEACH, Calif.—Long Beach State's Kailey Supa earned a pair of Big West women's soccer honors Monday, the league office announced. Supa was named Big West Offensive Player of the Week and Big West Freshman of the Week on Oct. 14.
Supa scored two of the three Long Beach State goals as the Beach went 1-1 during a two-match women's soccer week. Supa tied the score at one against UC Davis with a 25-yard blast into the top left of the net. She scored an 86th-minute game-winner when she headed in Liz Worden's direct pass as the Beach defeated Cal State Bakersfield 1-0 on Sunday. Her shot percentage of the week was .667 (2-for-3).
Monday marks the third difference Long Beach State competitor to be named Big West Offensive Player of the Week in the last four weeks (9/23-Kassandra Ceja, 9/30-Liz Worden). Supa is the first LBSU entry named Big West Freshman of the Week this season.
Long Beach State (6-7-2, 3-3-1 Big West) resumes action Sunday when LBSU hosts Cal State Fullerton (4-8-3, 2-2-2 Big West). The final home match of 2024 begins at 5 p.m. on ESPN+.
