Elysia Laramie tallied five goals and an assist across the team’s first two games of the season.

LONG BEACH, Calif. – Sixth year captain Elysia Laramie made history last week en route to earning National Player of the Week honors from Top Drawer Soccer.

In the first two games of the season, Laramie registered 11 total points with five goals and an assist to kickstart her final collegiate season. She started the week with a goal and an assist against No. 15 Texas on Thursday before making history with four goals against Boston College on Saturday.

The four-goal game is the first in program history while her eight points for the night marks a new single-game high. She is also the twelfth in Big West history to score four-or-more goals in a game and first since 2014.

Against No. 15 Texas, she assisted on the goal in the 53rd minute which gave Long Beach State the lead. After the Longhorns tied it again, Laramie scored the go-ahead goal in the 58th minute.

She followed up that performance with history scoring all four goals in the Beach win over Boston College within the first 16 minutes of the second half starting.

Laramie is currently tied for the NCAA lead in both total points and goals.
