Long Beach State Men’s Volleyball Set for Foreign Tour 2023

The Beach will travel to Slovenia, Switzerland, and Italy during the month of August
LONG BEACH, Calif. – The Long Beach State Men's Volleyball team will set off to Europe August 8-20 to compete and sightsee in Slovenia, Switzerland, and Italy.
The Beach will play several European teams in a tune up for the 2024 season. Long Beach State is coming off a solid 2023 season in which they advanced to the NCAA Final Four for the sixth time in the last seven seasons. The 2024 squad, which includes returning AVCA All-Americans Mason Briggs, Clarke Godbold, Aidan Knipe, Sotiris Siapanis, and Simon Torwie, will use their European foreign tour to team build with their incoming players, while continuing to gain experience playing together against some of the top teams in the world.
"We are looking forward a great trip and experiences that will last a lifetime," said Long Beach State Head Coach Alan Knipe. "We are so grateful to our amazing donors and sponsors who helped make this possible. A huge shoutout to Darrell Auxier, Tom Hermstad, Bruce MacRae and a few anonymous donors -you know who you are; this trip would not be possible without you! We'd also like to thank ASICS, the world's greatest apparel sponsor!
