Djordjevic comes to the Beach from Orangeville Prep with high-level international experience.

LONG BEACH, Calif. – Dan Monson and the Long Beach State Men's Basketball coaching staff has announced the signing of international recruit, Eli Djordjevic, out of Orangeville Prep in Canada.

"Eli 'fits' our program," said Monson. "On the court we love his versatility. He can play multiple positions and score both inside and out, but does not need the ball to help you win. His defense and rebounding define him. Off the court he is an honors student with high character. We are thrilled to find such a quality player and person so late in the recruiting process."

An international recruit from White Rock, British Columbia, Djordjevic averaged 10 points, five rebounds, four assists, and two blocks per game on loaded Orangeville team this past season in the Ontario Scholastic Basketball Association. He also played in The U.S. Grind Session where he was named a top performer for the month of February.

The 6'8" combo guard brings national team experience to the Beach earning a spot on the Team Canada player pool for the 2022 FIBA Americas Qualifier as well as the Canada U19 National Team pool for the FIBA World Cup. He recently led the British Columbia Provincial team to a silver medal at the U18 Canadian National Championships where he averaged 19 points per game.

Djordjevic is one of two freshmen on a veteran 2023-24 LBSU squad that returns All-Big West selections Lassina Traore, Aboubacar Traore, Marcus Tsohonis, Jadon Jones, and AJ George along with six other letter-winners from last year.
