LONG BEACH, Calif. – The duo of Jonathon Long and Graham Osman have swept the Big West weekly honors after leading the Dirtbags to another undefeated week, extending their win streak to eight consecutive games.
Long earned his first ever National Player of the Week from Collegiate Baseball as well as Big West Player of the Week honors after slashing .444/.500/1.167 with a double and four home runs. Three of his four homers gave the Dirtbags the lead, including two coming in walkoff fashion.
Recording a hit in each of the four games, his lone hit against CBU was a walkoff solo home run in the bottom of the ninth before recording seven hits in the three-game series with Cal Poly. His second walkoff of the week came in game two against the Mustangs capping off a 3-for-5 day with two home runs and three RBI.
