23 Long Beach State Student-Athletes Named Academic All-Big West

The Big West announced their fall recipients on Tuesday.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Long Beach State continued their success in the classroom with 23 student-athletes earning Academic All-Big West honors for the fall semester. The award winners were announced by the conference office on Tuesday.
To be eligible for Academic All-Big West honors, student-athletes must have completed at least a full year academically at the institution, carry a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, and meet minimum competition requirements which vary from sport to sport.
After earning their 26th consecutive national academic honor from the USTFCCCA, the Women's Cross Country team saw nine individuals earn the All-Conference honor. Maggie Bauer, Yajaira Calderon, Nyah Chavez, Tessa Chen, Ryley Fick, Anitha Graves, Kendall Harrison, Allie Scimia, and Brieanna Tafoya were all named to the All-Academic team.
Women's Soccer had nine student-athletes of their own receive the honor in Aleea Caceres, Emily Jauregui, Sophie Jones, Aimee Medwin, Maddy Perez, Bree San Lucas, Lena Silano, Alia Sinoff, and Sara Ybarra.
The Women's Volleyball had three recipients in Kameron Bacon, Katie Kennedy, and Kailia Lopez while the Men's Cross Country team had two with Ryan Hernandez and Damien Maldonado both earning spots on the All-Academic Team.
