LONG BEACH, Calif. – Long Beach State and Nike have finalized a multi-million dollar deal that will retain Nike as the primary apparel provider for 18 programs at the Beach through the conclusion of the 2027-2028 academic year.
Long Beach State and Nike have long had a beneficial partnership, and this new deal will ensure that continues as 18 of Long Beach State's 19 Division I programs remain aligned with the company.
"Long Beach State Athletics and Nike have enjoyed a long-term partnership and I am excited to continue that agreement," said Executive Director of Athletics, Bobby Smitheran. "As a worldwide leader in athletics apparel, Nike embodies the excellence we see in our student-athletes and athletic programs as we strive for Big West Conference championships and compete at the national level. Our ability to outfit our 18 programs in Nike footwear, apparel, and other products is paramount in the recruitment of prospective student-athletes and creating brand visibility while elevating the success of our student-athletes in their respective sport."
The same 18 programs, with the exception of Men's Volleyball, were covered by Nike in the previous agreement.
