STOCKTON, Calif. – The NCAA Stockton Regional wrapped up the final round on Wednesday and Long Beach State's Tyler Schafer finished in the Top 15 with a 6-under par performance.
The top five teams in No. 4 Arizona State (-38), No. 16 Stanford (-28), No. 46 BYU (-27), No. 28 Oregon (-21), and No. 38 Liberty (-18), as well as RJ Manke (-8) of Washington advance to the 2022 NCAA Championship which is set to take place from May 27-June 1 at Grayhawak Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Schafer, who was competing as an individual, shot a 71 for 1-under par in the final round as he finished with three birdies and an eagle on the 16th hole.
Overall, the senior from Long Beach, Calif., fired a 69-70-71 for a 210 and 6-under par showing. He was just five strokes out of first and just two strokes behind the advancing individual.
