Long Beach State is excited to introduce "Beach Reads"
Today, FanWord and Long Beach State Athletics announced a new partnership to help Long Beach State student-athletes and coaches tell their stories and grow their personal brands.
The partnership gives Long Beach State athletics access to FanWord Stories — an innovative and established storytelling solution that produces powerful content for the digital and social channels of the athletic department.
Together with FanWord, Long Beach State Athletics has launched the Beach Reads series — a content series that highlights unique stories that go beyond sports.Â
The stories will allow the Long Beach State community to engage with the teams and players from a new perspective while simultaneously helping the athletes grow their brands.

Long Beach State Athletics marks FanWord's first partnership with an institutions from the Big West conference.
The first story of this unique series is with Long Beach State's women's basketball player, Justina King, who is talking about her journey from Canada to California and what it took for her to become an elite athlete.

FanWord and Long Beach State Athletics have created a dedicated landing page where all stories will be published; beachreads.longbeachstate.com.
Throughout the year, FanWord is now going to produce powerful and unique storytelling content about selected athletes, coaches, and other brand ambassadors. Each story is written from the perspective of the storyteller and also comes with multiple social media graphics (see above) and other content assets to help Long Beach State Athletics share the stories on their digital & social media channels.Â
