Maddi Utti Claims Third Big West Women’s Basketball Player of the Week Award

Utti averaged 20.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 3.0 steals per game last week
IRVINE, Calif. – Senior forward Maddi Utti was named Big West Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the third time this season.
Utti earned the honors after leading Long Beach State to a pair of road wins last weekend as she averaged 20.5 points and 9.0 rebounds per game, to go along with six steals, five assists, and one block.
The Seaside, Ore., native played all 40 minutes and scored a season-high 24 points while shooting 61.5-percent (8-for-13) from the floor to go with 10 rebounds, three assists and three steals in the Beach's 74-63 win at CSU Bakersfield. Utti has now recorded four 20-point games, five double-digit rebounding games, and four double-doubles this season.
Utti followed that performance with 17 points, eight rebounds, two assists, three steals, and a block in 49 minutes of action as LBSU rallied to defeat Cal Poly, 65-64, in double overtime.
