Harrison Named to NCBWA Stopper of the Year Preseason Watch List

Devereaux Harrison is one of 66 relief pitchers in the country to appear on the watch list.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Devereaux Harrison has been named to the Stopper of the Year Preseason Watch List by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers of America. The news was announced by the NCBWA on Thursday.
The 2022 preseason watch list features 66 of the nation's top relief pitchers in the country. Beginning in 2005, the Stopper of the Year Award is presented to the best relief pitcher in NCAA Division I.
The Vacaville native adds to a tremendous list of accolades that he has accumulated prior to the start of his second full season in black and gold. Most recently, Harrison was named to the USA Baseball Golden Spikes Award Preseason Watch list to go along with four different Preseason All-American honors.
Harrison and the number 24 ranked Dirtbags open the 2022 season tomorrow in Starkville, Miss. where they will take on the defending national champion Mississippi State Bulldogs.
