Dirtbags Announce Alumni Event for 2022 Season

While there will be no alumni game, the Dirtbags will host an alumni event at the home opener.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Long Beach State has announced there will be no alumni game prior to the start of the 2022 season due to ongoing facility enhancements at Bohl Diamond at Blair Field. However, they will host an alumni event during the home opener on Friday, February 25.
All alumni-athletes of the baseball program are invited to join the Dirtbags at their home opener against Sacramento State and those who register will get free tickets*, food in the Dirtbags Pavilion, as well as a gift from the Dirtbags program.

While construction on the new LED lighting system for the entire stadium has been completed at Bohl Diamond at Blair Field, there is still work to be done to make sure everything is fully operational as well as ongoing enhancements for the start of the season.
The new lighting system is the first phase in a series of capital projects to be completed over the next 18-24 months. Philanthropist Marilyn Bohl continues to play a major role in the venue's transformation, matching the university dollar for dollar on all the improvements.
Phase two will include a new videoboard as well as a player development facility along the third base line. Construction is slated to begin this summer.
The Dirtbags will begin the 2022 season on the road at Mississippi State, the defending national champions. The three-game series will take place February 18-20 at Dudy Noble Field in Starkville, Miss. The home opening series will be the following weekend, February 25-27, against Sacramento State.
Season tickets are available for purchase at www.longbeachstate.com/Bags2022 or fans can call the ticketing office at 562-985-4949 for more information.
