23 Long Beach State Student-Athletes Earn Academic All-Big West Honors

The conference announced their fall recipients on Monday.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Long Beach State continued their success in the classroom with 23 student-athletes being recognized on the fall Big West Academic All-Conference teams. The news was announced by the conference office on Monday.
To be eligible for Academic All-Big West honors, student-athletes must have completed at least a full year academically at the institution, carry a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, and meet minimum competition requirements which varied from sport to sport.
Women's soccer led the way with 12 representatives garnering the honor in Aleea Caceres, Kayla Cannon, Mya Daily, Kaitlin Fregulia, Emily Jauregui, Sophie Jones, Aimee Medwin, Maddy Perez, Daria Petredes, Kaylee Ramirez, Bree San Lucas, and Lena Silano.
The women's cross country team had six student-athletes on the list as Maggie Bauer, Tessa Chen, Ryley Fick, Anitha Graves, Tiana Prince, and Sophia Stephan were all recognized. Raymon Ornelas also received the award on the men's side.
Four members of the women's volleyball team rounded out the LBSU honorees with Miranda Canez, Nicole Hoff, Katie Kennedy, and Allison Martinez earning spots on the All-Academic Team.
