Three Women’s Golfers Named WGCA All-American Scholars

Senior Holland Shourds, Sophomore Hunter Pate and Freshman Angelina Kim all garnered the honor for the Beach.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Long Beach State Women's Golf had three student-athletes named WGCA All-American Scholars for their efforts in the classroom over the last year.
Presented by the Women's Golf Coaches Association, the WGCA All-American Scholar award is given to women's collegiate golfers who have maintained a cumulative GPA over 3.50, one of the most highest cutoffs for similar awards within collegiate athletics.
All three of Long Beach State's honorees are currently maintaining perfect 4.00 GPAs. Holland Shourds is pursuing a Master's Degree in Sport Management, while Hunter Pate is majoring in Business Finance and Angelina Kim is majoring in Business Marketing.
As a true freshman, Kim was selected for the first time in 2021, while Shourds and Pate were repeat honorees.
