Long Beach State Concludes Season at NCAA Cle Elum Regional

Hunter Epson led the Beach with a 2-under par ninth-place finish, while LBSU placed 12th

CLE ELUM, Wash. – Long Beach State's season came to an end on the final day of the NCAA Cle Elum Regional where the Beach placed 12th with a 30-over par showing. LBSU was led by senior Hunter Epson who finished in the top 10 with a 2-under par.
The top five teams in East Tennessee State (-14), San Francisco (-4), Wake Forest (-2), Pepperdine (-1), and Florida (+6) advance to the NCAA National Championships, as does Utah's Tristian Mandur who finished in a tie for fourth with 6-under and was the top individual on a non-advancing team.
Long Beach State managed to shave two stroke off of its game in the final round as the Beach shot a 296 for 12-over on the third day of the tournament to finish with an 882 (+30).
Epson, a senior from Long Beach, Calif., shot a 67 for 4-under par in the final round as he birdied seven holes. With his strong showing in the final round, Epson finished in a tie for ninth place with a 2-under par performance.
Sophomore Isaac Rodea shot a 77 in the final round as he shot a 220 (68-75-77) for 7-over during the three-day tournament. Tyler Schafer also shot a 77 in the final round to conclude the tournament with a 13-over par 226 (73-76-77).
Rounding out the LBSU lineup were Clay Seeber and Hunter Reed. Seeber shot a 75 on the final day to finish with a 15-over 228 (78-75-75), while Reed shot a 78 for 16-over par 229 (76-75-78).
