Long Beach State Announces Women’s Golf Head Coaching Change

The contract of Joey Cerulle will not be renewed for the upcoming 2021-22 campaign.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Long Beach State Athletics announced today that Women's Golf Head Coach Joey Cerulle will not be brought back for the 2021-22 season as head coach.
"I recently met with Joey and told him that we were moving in a different direction. I want to wish Joey, Sara and their family well in their next endeavor," said Executive Director of Athletics Andy Fee.
Cerulle was hired prior to the 2009-10 season and spent 12 seasons in charge of the program.
A national search will be conducted to find the ninth head coach of the program, which was instituted in 1966.
