Clarke Godbold Named Big West Men’s Volleyball Freshman of the Week

Godbold earned the honors for the second-straight week
IRVINE, Calif. – For the second week in a row, Clarke Godbold was named the Big West Conference Freshman of the Week for his outstanding efforts on the court last week.
Godbold started in both matches last week against top-ranked Hawai'i and helped Long Beach State take three sets off the Bows. The 6-foot-5 outside hitter recorded double-digit kills in both contests as he totaled 21 kills on the week for an average of 2.33 kills per set.
Additionally, Godbold was solid defensively as he put up six total blocks to average 0.67 blocks per set and 12 digs for an average of 1.33 per set.
Godbold and the Beach will be back in action on Friday, April 9 at No. 12 UC San Diego at 4 p.m.
