Hunter Epson Collects Second-Straight Big West Men’s Golfer of the Month Honor

Epson earned the accolades after leading Long Beach State to a pair of top five finishes during the month of March

IRVINE, Calif. – For the second month in a row, Long Beach State senior Hunter Epson was named Big West Men's Golfer of the Month. Epson earned the honors after leading the Beach to a pair of top five finishes during the month of March.

Epson competed in two-of-three tournaments for the Beach and kicked off the month with a 9-under par (72-67-68) showing at the Sacramento State Invitational. That performances ranked him in a tie for third individually as the team finished as runner-up.

The Long Beach, Calif., native followed that effort up with a 13th-place showing at the Bandon Dunes Championships as he led the Beach with an even par (69-70-74) performance.

With Epson leading the charge, Long Beach State was the top finisher among Big West competition in all of its March tournaments.

Epson and the Beach will be back in action next week at El Macero Classic hosted by UC Davis from Saturday, April 10-Monday, April 12.
