Long Beach State Women’s Volleyball Adds Two More for 2021 Season

The Beach will welcome a pair of freshmen in Kaelyn Mack and Lasi Danielson for the upcoming season
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Long Beach State women's volleyball head coach Joy McKienzie-Fuerbringer announced the addition of freshman right side/middle blocker Kaelyn Mack and freshman right side/outside hitter Lasi Danielson to the roster for the 2021 season. The duo join freshman outside hitter Starr Williams whose signing was announced in November.
Kaelyn Mack
Fr. | 6-3 | MB | Mansfield, Texas (Lakerdige HS)
Mack comes to the Beach from Mansfield, Texas where she prepped at Lakeridge High School and competed for the NRG Volleyball Club. The 6-foot-3 middle blocker is a highly decorated player as she played for the U15, U16, U17, and U18 National Teams. Mack qualified for Nationals twice, was named to the AVCA Phenom Watch list in 2018 and 2019, and finished in the top 25 for 17s at Triple Crown 2020.
Additionally, Mack was a three-year letterwinner for the Eagles where she was named to the 2020 First Team All-District, 2019 Second Team All-District, as well as 2018 District Newcomer of the Year. She was named Lakeridge High School Freshman Team Offensive Player of the Season, an award given by the coaching staff. A four-time selection to the All-District Academic Team, Mack is a competitor both on and off the court as she was on the Honor Roll.

Lasi Danielson
Fr. | 5-11 | RS/OH | Stockton, Calif. (Saint Mary's HS)
Danielson will join Long Beach State after having prepped at Saint Mary's High School, where she was a four-year letterwinner for the Rams. She also played for the club team Omni where she was an American Samoa National Volleyball Team member at the age of 16.
While playing for the Rams, Danielson helped her squad capture the TCAL Championship in 2017, 2018, and 2019. She was named an All-League Second Team selection as a sophomore and junior.
Off the court, Danielson is a member of the National Honor Society and California Scholarship Federation.
