Ian Gilligan Named Big West Conference Men’s Golfer of the Month

Gilligan led Long Beach State at the St. Mary’s Invitational last month
IRVINE, Calif. – Long Beach State's Ian Gilligan was named Big West Men's Golfer of the Month for November 2021 after turning in a solid showing at the Saint Mary's Invitational last month. The honor is the first of Gilligan's collegiate career.
Gilligan, a freshman out of Reno, Nev., was Long Beach State's top-finisher at the Saint Mary's Invitational as he finished with a 1-under par for a top-20 showing. Gilligan kicked off the tournament firing a 68 for 3-under par in the first round. He shot 68-74-70 for a 212 1-under par performance to tie for 17th place.
Long Beach State, led by Gilligan, posted a top-15 finish at the Saint Mary's Invitational to close out the fall season.
