Joe Hampton Recognized In Big West Men’s Basketball Preseason Voting

The Beach looks to beat expectations in the coming season.

LONG BEACH, Calif. – Senior Joe Hampton received multiple votes for the 2021-22 Preseason All-Big West Teams but was just shy of making the six-player list as the Big West announced the preseason coaches and media polls and teams on Wednesday.

                Hampton received votes for both the coaches and media team. There was a consensus among most of the players between the two teams, as Tray Maddox Jr., Ezra Manon, Amadou Sow and Collin Welp ere on boath teams. Zyon Pullin and Miles Norris rounded out the coaches preseason team, while Darius Brown II and Elijah Pepper were the remaining picks on the media team.

                UC Santa Barbara was picked to win the Big West in both the Coaches and Media Poll. Long Beach State was tabbed for eighth by the coaches and seventh by the media.
