Update On Campus Preparations for COVID-19

As part of our planning and response to concerns about novel coronavirus (COVID-19), I wanted to update you on a number of prevention strategies that we've implemented here on campus:

Cleaning and disinfection procedures have been revised to focus efforts on bathrooms, counters, door knobs, switches and other high-touch areas.
Hand-sanitizing stations have been deployed to key locations around campus with more stations on the way.
A map has been created showing hand-sanitizing stations, which will be updated as new stations are added.
Custodial disinfection equipment has been staged and crews are ready for deployment should the need arise.

All campus updates are available on the university's COVID-19 website, please remember these important tips to help prevent spreading this and other viruses:

Wash your hands often with soap and water for 20 seconds.
Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer if soap and water are not readily available.
Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
Avoid touching your face and eyes with unwashed hands.
Cover your cough or sneeze with tissue or sleeve.
Stay away from school, work or public areas if you are sick.
Practice social distancing. Keep a healthy distance from people you don't know.
Seek medical care if feeling feverish or ill.
Do not share dishes, glasses or other household items if you are sick.
