Long Beach State Women’s Volleyball Adds Starr Williams to Roster for 2021

Williams is a 6-foot-3 incoming freshman outside hitter
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Long Beach State Women's Volleyball head coach Joy McKienzie-Fuerbringer announced the addition of Starr Williams to the Beach's 2021 roster.
"We are excited to add Top 50 2021 Prep Volleyball recruit, Starr Williams, to our 2021 class," said McKienzie-Fuerbringer. "Adding Starr, together with our 2020 16th ranked recruiting class, has our staff excited about this young team's future. Starr is a powerful 6-foot-3 attacker who will add depth to our offense. We look forward to getting her in the gym."

Fr. | 6-3 | Outside Hitter | Ontario, Calif. | Colony HS
Williams will come to Long Beach State after prepping at Colony High School in Ontario, Calif., as well as gaining experience at the club level. The 6-foot-3 outside hitter was an All-League First Team selection and was named Newcomer of the Year by MaxPreps. Williams was named to the Underclassmen All-American Volleyball Team at Colony High School, while also earning All-California Interscholastic Federal Honors. ]
Prior to her time at Colony High School, Williams played at Los Alamitos High School where she was an All-CIF selection, CIF Champion, and All-League First Team honoree. Named to the Press Telegram's Dream Team, Williams also garnered All-County Second Team accolades and an All-Area First Team selection.
At the club level, Williams won a Bronze Medal at Junior Olympics with Forza 1 North before taking Gold at the Junior Olympic qualifier with Mizuno Long Beach. With Mizuno Long Beach, she was coached by McKienzie-Fuerbringer, and was named to the All-Tournament Team.
