The Beach is scheduled to play 26 games in 2020-21.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Long Beach State has announced that the men's basketball program will play an additional six non-conference games in addition to its previously scheduled 20-game Big West conference schedule.
COMPLETE SCHEDULE
Owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, the number of non-conference games has been reduced, as has the travel, which will see the team only leave California for the team's conference trip to Hawai'i.
For the third season in a row, Long Beach State will open on the road in Pauley Pavilion, facing No. 22 UCLA on the road on November 30. The local road games continue on December 4 at Loyola Marymount, and then the Beach will host Seattle on December 6.
Trips to San Francisco on December 10, California Baptist on December 19 and San Diego on December 22 close out the non-conference schedule, and then the Beach will start Big West play before the start of the year at UC Riverside on December 27 and 28.
The Big West Conference has scheduled play primarily on Fridays and Saturdays, with teams playing two games back-to-back in the same location. The Beach will play both new members of the conference at home, starting with CSU Bakersfield on January 1 and 2 and UC San Diego on January 29 and 30. Additional home opponents include CSUN, Cal Poly and a Black and Blue Rivalry matchup with UC Irvine to close the regular season on March 5 and 6.
Times and television information for the games will be forthcoming, though all home games in the Walter Pyramid will be streamed live on Beach Vision. Check back at www.longbeachstate.com in the coming days for more details.
While fans unfortunately will not be allowed in the Walter Pyramid for games, you can still show your support of our Men's and Women's teams by purchasing of the options of our OneBeach Package, which includes a personalized fan cutout in the pyramid and a sign to hang or put in your yard. More details can be found at www.longbeachstate.com/onebeachinfo, and you can purchase HERE.
