LBSU received over $800,000 in ticket revenue from home athletic contests during the past season.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Long Beach State Athletics has set a new ticket sales revenue record over the last fiscal year, earning over $800,000 dollars from regular season tickets over the past season.
"We are grateful for the wonderful support of our alumni, Beach Athletic Fund members, and fans that support Long Beach State student-athletes through purchasing tickets," said Rob Clark, Executive Senior Associate Athletic Director. "Our Beach Athletic Fund team is hard at work to engage our fan base to get involved through buying tickets and supporting student-athletes with a Beach Athletic Fund membership."
Over the course of 130 home events during the 2018-19 season, Long Beach State raised $812,907, the highest amount of revenue since the 2012-13 campaign when the Beach played host to North Carolina in Men's Basketball.
Throughout the entirety of the season, 148,683 people attended Long Beach State sporting events, and the athletic department and our student-athletes are incredibly appreciative of all of the support we've received throughout the year from fans of Beach Athletics.
That figure only includes regular season contests, not Long Beach State hosted postseason events such as: the Golden Coast Conference Tournament in Men's Water Polo, the Big West Conference Tournament in Women's Water Polo as well as the National Collegiate Tournament for NCAA Men's Volleyball.
