Third consecutive victory for the Beach.
LONG BEACH, Calif. - After a successful weekend, Long Beach State track and field athlete Bria Palmer earned Big West Women's Field Athlete of the Week recognition.
For the third consecutive week, a member of the program has garnered this award. Palmer took home this honor after winning the women's high jump at the Jim Bush Legends Invitational hosted by UCLA. The senior cleared a season-best and conference-leading mark in the event with a jump of 5-09.75 to take first place.
Palmer has shown consistency throughout her senior season, staying in the top three in each meet throughout the indoor and outdoor season. Her jump of 5-10.75 remains as the seventh spot on the LBSU all-time list.
Palmer and the rest of the Beach squad will be back in action Friday, April 3 at the 27th Annual Big West Challenge hosted by UC Santa Barbara.
