Beach Women’s Golf Produces Six All-Big West Honorees

A half-dozen members of Long Beach State’s women’s golf team earned All-Big West recognition following Wednesday’s Big West Championship. Head coach Joey Cerulle earned his second consecutive Coach of the Year honor while junior Maria Davis and senior Haley Tygret were both First Team All-Big West selections.

IRVINE, Calif. – Following Long Beach State's second straight Big West Championship, the women's golf program had six honorees on the 2019 All-Conference team. Head coach Joey Cerulle was named Big West Coach of the Year for the second season in a row and five golfers earned All-Conference recognition.

Senior Haley Tygret was named First Team All-Big West after winning the 2019 Big West Individual Championship on Wednesday. It is Tygret's second consecutive First Team All-Big West selection. She was joined on the first team by junior Maria Davis, who earned the first All-Big West honor of her career.

Junior Euna Pak was a Second Team All-Big West selection, picking up her second All-Conference nod. Among the Honorable Mentions were senior Cara Barker, who is a four-time All-Big West honoree, and freshman Hannah Ko.

Cerulle becomes the first two-time Big West Coach of the Year winner in Long Beach State Women's Golf history, claiming the program's third Coach of the Year honor.
