Freeman previously played at Kansas State and Northwest Florida State College.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Junior Ron Freeman and Long Beach State Men's Basketball have come to an agreement that Freeman will leave the program effective immediately.
"Ron met with Director of Athletics Andy Fee and myself yesterday, and we mutually agreed that the time is right for him to pursue basketball on a full-time basis," said Long Beach State head coach Dan Monson. "Although Ron was making significant progress towards graduation, his financial situation coupled with his desire to play professionally led us to this decision. We wish him the best in following his dreams."
Freeman joined the team during the 2017-18 season as a redshirt, and played in 14 games this year for Long Beach State.
