TJ DeFalco Named Big West Player of the Week

The senior outside hitter hit .636 on the week and average 4.00 kills per set
LONG BEACH, Calif. – TJ DeFalco earned his third-career Big West Conference Player of the Week honor after leading Long Beach State to a pair of sweeps at the AVCA Showcase last week.
The senior outside hitter knocked down 24 kills on 33 swings, while committing just three errors for an impressive .636 attack percentage, while averaging 4.00 kills per set. DeFalco's strong showing helped the Beach win their 32nd straight home match to tie the program record.
DeFalco opened the AVCA Showcase with an outstanding performance against Penn State in which he slammed 14 kills on 19 attempts without committing an error as he hit .737 in the contest. He also added five digs, three aces, and a solo block against the Nittany Lions.
He came back the next day and hit .500 (10-3-14) with 10 kills, while contributing four digs and an assist.
On the year, DeFalco leads the team with 3.51 kills per set on .451 hitting. He is second on the squad with 20 service aces (0.54 per set), 61 digs (1.65 per set), 28 assists (0.76 per set), and 22 total blocks (0.59 per set).
