Dirtbags Hosting Alumni Weekend Feb. 7-8

One week prior to the start of the 2020 baseball season, Long Beach State will host its annual Alumni Weekend Feb. 7-8. The festivities begin with the First Pitch Banquet on Friday, Feb. 7, followed by the Alumni Game on Feb. 8.

LONG BEACH, Calif. – Dirtbags head coach Eric Valenzuela has announced details for the 2020 Alumni Weekend, which will take place Feb. 7-8. Dirtbag Nation is invited to join the team during its buildup to the 2020 season and participate in some exciting events one week prior to the start of the regular season.

The weekend begins with the First Pitch Banquet on Friday, Feb. 7 at the Holiday Inn Long Beach Airport. The banquet starts at 5:30 p.m., and details on tickets and sponsorships are available at the Beach Athletic Fund event page.

The next day, fans are invited out to Bohl Diamond at Blair Field for the annual Alumni Game at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 8. The game is free to attend for fans, and there will be a Kids Fun Zone available during the game. More details on the Alumni Game will be provided closer to game day.

The 2020 season opens on Friday, Feb. 14 with game one of a three-game series against Cal. The Dirtbags will play their first 11 games at home, kicking off an exciting 2020 schedule with home games against the likes of Arizona State, Mississippi State, USC, UCLA, Wake Forest, Washington, Xavier, and others.
