
DeFalco, Tuaniga Help U.S. Men’s National Team to Bronze Medal at the 2019 FIVB World Cup

The Long Beach State alums helped the U.S. Men’s National Team to a 9-2 record at the FIVB World Cup
HIROSHIMA – Six months after leading Long Beach State to the 2019 NCAA National Championship, TJ DeFalco and Josh Tuaniga helped the U.S. Men's National Team to a Bronze Medal after finishing with a 9-2 record at the 2019 FIVB World Cup.
The U.S. Men's National Team won their final World Cup match by set scores of 22-25, 25-26, 25-14, 25-13 over Egypt in Hiroshima. Brazil won the Gold Medal and Poland won the silver by one ranking point over the United States.
The U.S. Men's National Team will reconvene next May to begin preparing for the 2020 FIVB Volleyball Nations League. In July, they will return to Japan for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
