Women’s Golf Closes Fall Schedule At Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown

The Beach will play three rounds over three days in Boulder City, Nev.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Long Beach State will join a full field starting on Sunday in the Las Vegas area, traveling to compete in the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown in the team's final competition of the Fall.
The Beach will look to close out the fall portion of the schedule with a strong performance at at the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown, which will be held over the course of three days starting Sunday, October 27 with one round each day. Boulder Creek Golf Course in Boulder City, Nev. Will play host to the event.
With an 18-team field, The Beach will be measuring themselves against a number of western programs, including two from the Big West in UC Riverside and UC Irvine as well as both Nevada schools in the Wolf Pack from Nevada and the hosts, UNLV.
Senior Euna Pak has been tapped to lead the way for Long Beach State. The senior has played in all three team tournament for the Beach, and will look to improve upon her form from the Minnesota Invitational where she was tied for the second-best score on the team.
She'll be joined by two other seniors. Holland Shourds has been one of Long Beach State's most consistent performers throughout 2019, leading the team in all three tournaments so far this season. She'll be joined by fellow senior Maria Davis, who will make her return to the competitive squad after sitting out the last two tournaments. The 2019 First-Team All-Big West selection will be hoping to recapture that form and gain some momentum entering the spring.
Rounding out the lineup are sophomores Hunter Pate and Hannah Ko who continue to be regular fixtures. Pate will be returning to her hometown as the Las Vegas native will be hoping to get a boost from playing near home, while Ko has played well so far this season, including sharing in the team lead with Shourds at the Couer d'Alene Resort Invitational back in September.
