Dirtbags Hosting Alumni Weekend, Fan Fest at Bohl Diamond at Blair Field

Dirtbags fans can look forward to the annual Alumni Game on Saturday, Jan. 26, followed by the 2019 Dirtbags Fan Fest, featuring an intrasquad scrimmage on Saturday, Feb. 2. Both events will be hosted free of charge at Bohl Diamond at Blair Field.
LONG BEACH, Calif. -- With the 2019 baseball season just three weeks away, Dirtbag Nation can get an early look at this year's team over the next two weekends. Bohl Diamond at Blair Field will play host to the annual Alumni Game this Saturday at 2 p.m. and then the 2019 Dirtbags Fan Fest on Saturday, Feb. 2, featuring an intrasquad scrimmage.
The Alumni Game follows Friday's Billy Bryant Memorial/Alumni Golf Tournament at Recreation Park, and a solid crop of former Dirtbags are expected to be on hand to face this year's team. Returning position players expected to attend include former big leaguers Brad Davis and Mike Marjama, along with fellow Dirtbag alums Alex Bishop, Jarren Duran, Juan Favela, Matt Gimenez, Matt Hibbert, Daniel Jackson, Tristan Mercadel, Brennan Metzger, Zack Miller, Zack Rivera, Ramsey Romano, Kirk Singer, and Lucas Tancas. On the mound, the alumni are set to trot out big leaguers Adam Wilk and Mike Gallo, along with Logan Lombana and recent alums like Darren McCaughan, Austin McGeorge, Sebastian Sanchez and Dave Smith.
The Dirtbags will take batting practice from 11:30 a.m. until 12:10 p.m., with the alumni hitting from 12:15-1:15. First pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m. and admission is free.
The following Saturday, fans are welcome to come back to Bohl Diamond at Blair Field for the 2019 Dirtbags Fan Fest. The day starts with a free Kids Clinic from 10:30-11:30 a.m. where youngsters can learn from their favorite Dirtbags. The ballpark opens at 10 a.m. for Kids Clinic check-in, and fans will be also be able to tour the Dirtbags locker room and the Troy & Danyll Tulowitzki Batting Facility. Season ticket holders will be able to pick up their tickets for the upcoming season, and any fans with questions about season tickets can visit the Long Beach State ticketing table in the third base picnic area.
There will be a group photo for the kids with the entire Dirtbags squad following the clinic, before the team prepares for its intrasquad scrimmage. Batting practice begins at Noon, featuring an on-field Q&A with select players. Team and staff introductions will take place at 1 p.m. on the field, followed by a 1:30 p.m. first pitch. Ballpark concessions will be for sale throughout the day, opening at 10 a.m.
Season tickets for the 2019 season are currently available online, starting at just $99 per seat. Season ticket holders receive an exclusive ticket book with commemorative tickets to each game, along with a special gift and other special perks. Single-game Dirtbags tickets will be available starting Feb. 11 at LongBeachState.com/tickets.
