McDonald Named To Top Drawer Soccer National Team Of The Week

Another weekly honor rolls in for the senior after a great start to the season.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – More accolades are continuing to roll in for senior Imani McDonald after a great first weekend, as the LBSU goalkeeper was selected to the Top Drawer Soccer National Team of the Week.
McDonald was the goalkeeper for the 11-player team, earning the honor after making 12 saves over the first two games of the year. Starting off on the road at UCLA, the senior kept the Beach even with the No. 2 team in the country until the closing seconds, making seven saves in a 1-0 loss.
Coming back home two days later, McDonald recorded her first shutout of the season as the Beach defeated SMU 1-0, making five saves against the Mustangs.
McDonald finished the weekend with a goals against average of 0.50 and had a .923 save percentage.
