Play Suspended Midway Through Round Two At Southwestern Invitational

Long Beach, Calif. - After a two-hour frost delay held up the start of play at the Southwestern Invitational, the second of three scheduled rounds for the tournament was halted due to darkness Monday evening. Long Beach State Men's Golf ended the day in a tie for 10th place with SMU.
After the late start, Long Beach State fired a 26-over par 314 in the first round, but the Beach are making a rally, shooting just two-over par in the second run, the second-best score of any team in the second round thus far, as teams have completed 8 to 13 holes.
Andres Gonzalez is leading the way for the Beach, as the junior is currently tied for 13th at 3-over, but is three-under through 11 holes in the second round. Nick Cantlay is also currently under par in the second, and is tied for 32nd. Patrick Pockels had the team's best first-round score with a five-over par 77, while Hunter Reed and Joe Fryer round out the LBSU participants.
