New Ways to Follow Dirtbags Baseball in 2018

LONG BEACH, Calif. - With the 2018 baseball season about to begin, Long Beach State is excited to announce new ways for fans to watch and listen to Dirtbags Baseball this year. There will be two Dirtbags games featured on ESPNU, four games available on KLAA AM830, plus Dirtbags games will now be streamed live, for free, on BigWest.TV.
The Big West Conference office announced this week that Long Beach State's series opener at Cal Poly on Friday, Apr. 20 will be televised nationally on ESPNU. In addition, Long Beach State will also have a home game on the network, Thursday, May 24 against rivals Cal State Fullerton. It's important for fans to note the new start time for that game, which has been moved from 6 p.m. up to 5 p.m.
In addition to the two televised games, the Dirtbags will also have an increased presence on the radio this year. Continuing Long Beach State's partnership with KLAA AM830, Dirtbags Baseball will be featured for four marquee games on the network during the 2018 season. The first baseball game set to air on AM830 will be this Sunday's series finale against Saint Mary's, a 1 p.m. start on Feb. 18. Also on the schedule will be home games against USC (Feb. 20) and Vanderbilt (Mar. 7), plus a road contest against rivals Cal State Fullerton on Mar. 24. All three of those games are scheduled for a 6 p.m. first pitch.
Every game of the 2018 baseball season will still be available through LBSU's partnership with 22 West Media. The games can be streamed online at 22WestMedia.com and heard on HD Radio at 88.1-3.
Furthermore, thanks to the support of Southland Credit Union, there will be online streaming for the Dirtbags and other LBSU sports beginning this season. Games will be streamed live via the BigWest.TV streaming service, at no cost to fans.
The 2018 baseball season gets underway this Friday at 6 p.m. as the Dirtbags host Saint Mary's for the first of a three-game series at Blair Field.
