
Long Beach State Falls To No. 5 Pacific

Davis, Calif. — No. 6 Long Beach State was tied 4-4 with Golden Coast Conference rival No. 5 Pacific at the end of the first quarter, but couldn't hold on as they lost 11-7 Saturday.
The Beach (6-2) got goals from Max Cusator, Mitchell Holden, Austin Stewart and Lee Griffin as LBSU battled to a 4-4 tie after the first quarter.
Pacific (6-1) opened things up heading into halftime after going on a 3-0 scoring run to take a 7-4 lead.
But, Griffin scored his second goal of the game as LBSU went to the fourth quarter trailing 8-5.
Keegan Wicken and Stewart scored in the fourth, but it wasn't enough as the Beach was outscored 3-2.
LBSU will wrap up Aggie Roundup play Sunday against Whittier at 10:20 a.m. and No. 2 USC at 3:30 p.m.
