Women's Soccer Announces 2017 Spring Schedule

LONG BEACH - Long Beach State head women's soccer coach Mauricio Ingrassia has announced the spring schedule for 2017.
"We are fortunate to have many local quality options to challenge our team," said Ingrassia. "We have a determined group and this experience will be invaluable for our continued growth."
The defending Big West Conference Tournament Champions starts off the preseason with a doubleheader on Saturday (Feb. 18) versus Mountain West Conference member San Diego State and the Strikers of the Women's Premier Soccer League. Both games will be played at El Camino College in Torrance.
On Feb. 24, the 49ers will host the University of San Diego under the lights at George Allen Field before traveling up to Westwood for a Sunday afternoon showdown with UCLA.
After a two-week break, LBSU will make the short drive up to Malibu to face Pepperdine and Cal State L.A. on Mar. 11.
The Beach will then finish the spring season with home games versus the Alumni team on Mar. 12 and a doubleheader with the University of British Columbia and Azusa Pacific (Mar. 24).
The 49ers are coming off from another historic season, capturing its third Big West Tournament Championship and sixth appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
