FIRST TEE
The Long Beach State women's golf team opens the spring season at the 22nd Peg Barnard Invitational hosted by Stanford. The two-day, 36-hole tournament begins on Saturday with opening round play, followed by the final 18 holes concluding on Sunday. Saturday will begin with a 10:30 a.m. (PT), while Sunday's final round will begin an 8:30 a.m. (PT). Both days will begin with a shotgun start and will be contested at the par-71, 6,084 yard Stanford Golf Course in Stanford, Calif.
PEG BARNARD FIELD
LBSU will be among a 12-team field as the 49ers will compete with No. 1 Stanford, No. 36 Oregon, No. 43 Colorado, No. 47 San Jose State, Washington State, New Mexico State, Oregon State, Nevada, UC Davis, San Francisco and the Stanford "B" team.

49ERS' STARTING FIVE
Junior Felicia Taverrite, sophomores Breann Fox and Haley Tygret and freshmen Maria Davis and Holland Shourds will represent the Beach at the 22nd Peg Barnard Invitational.
LBSU RETURNS TO THE FARM
After a four-year absence, the 49ers make a return appearance to the Stanford Golf Course for the 14-team Peg Barnard Invitational. The Beach tied for 10th with Black and Blue Rival UC Irvine at 37-over 605. Former 49er Shawnee Martinez was the top player for LBSU, tying for 21st at 8-over 150.
LAST TIME OUT
The 49ers are coming off from an 18th place finish at the 19-team Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown to close out the fall season. The three round tournament was shortened to two rounds due to thunderstorms that forced the cancellation of the second round. LBSU recorded a two-round score of 17-over 593. Sophomore Breann Fox, playing as an individual, was the top player for the Niners, tying for 65th at 3-over 147.
INDIVIDUALS HEAD TO BATTLE AT THE ROCK
Senior Sachi Hamada and junior Jennifer Yu will open the spring season at the Battle at the Rock hosted by UC Riverside. Competing as individuals for the 49ers, the two-day, 54-hole tournament begins on Monday (Feb. 13) with first and second round action, followed by the final 18 holes concluding on Tuesday (Feb. 14). All three rounds be contested at Oak Quarry Golf Course in Riverside.
49ERS HOST BLACK & BLUE RIVALRY MATCH
LBSU will host the fourth Black & Blue Rivalry Match versus UC Irvine on Monday, Mar. 6 at Virginia Country Club in Long Beach. The 49ers came away with its third consecutive Black & Blue Rivalry title last year, defeating the Anteaters by two points at Strawberry Farms Golf Club in Irvine.
TEARE NAMED ASSISTANT COACH
Former LBSU standout and 2016 Big West Conference Women's Golfer of the Year Kassidy Teare was named assistant coach for the Beach. Teare graduated from LBSU this past season after completing her four-year career at the Beach. The Vista, Calif. native is only the second women's golfer in program history to qualify as an individual for the NCAA Tournament two years in a row as former 49er All-American Kay Hoey qualified in 2005 as a freshman and 2007 as a junior. Teare received at-large bids to the NCAA St. George Regional last year in St. George, Utah and to the NCAA Stanford Regional this past year.

COMING ATTRACTIONS
The 49ers return to action on Monday, Feb. 27, hosting the the sixth edition of the Gold Rush at Old Ranch Country Club in Seal Beach, Calif. The two-day, 54-hole tournament will feature a 15-team field as the 49ers will have two teams competing against UC Irvine, Colorado State, Montana, Santa Clara, Gonzaga, BYU, Fresno State, San Jose State, Nevada, UC Riverside, Boise State, Idaho and Ole Miss.
