Dirtbags Host Grand Canyon Saturday in Fall Ball Action

LONG BEACH, Calif. - The Dirtbags will continue their fall ball schedule this Saturday at Blair Field, hosting Grand Canyon at 12:30 p.m. Admission is free for all fans, just as it was when LBSU hosted Nevada last month.
Long Beach State faced Grand Canyon last season in a neutral site game at Pepperdine on Mar. 18. The Dirtbags won that matchup, 9-1, thanks to eight runs scored in the seventh and eighth innings combined. Eli Villalobos pitched three perfect innings of relief in that contest to pick up a win.
Following Saturday's game, the Dirtbags will conclude their fall schedule by hosting the yearly Dirt vs. Bags series next Thursday-Saturday, Nov. 16-18 at Blair Field. Thursday and Friday will feature a 6 p.m. first pitch while Saturday's game will begin at 2 p.m.
