Long Beach State Fills Schedule With Participation In Battle4Atlantis Mainland

Current 2016-17 Men's Basketball Schedule
Long Beach, Calif. - Long Beach State will participate in the 2016-17 Battle4Atlantis Mainland tournament, adding four more games to an already packed schedule.
The Beach will play two non-bracketed games against a pair of outstanding opponents on the road, traveling to Wichita State to face the Shockers on Sunday, November 13. After playing at North Carolina at November 15, the team will then play at Louisville on November 17 in another non-bracketed game.
Over Thanksgiving weekend, Long Beach State will then make their way to Florida to participate in the Battle4Atlantis Mainland's main draw. The Beach opens against Binghamton on Thanksgiving, November 24, and then will play the hosts Florida Gulf Coast the next evening on November 25.
In total, Long Beach State will play seven teams that reached last season's NCAA tournament, as well as a pair of No. 1 seeds from a year ago in Kansas and North Carolina. Wichita State made the tournament as an 11 seed, and Florida Gulf Coast also made the tournament last season, entering as a 16-seed in the first four before falling to North Carolina in the first round.
