Long Beach, Calif. - Long Beach State athletics has staffed three open positions, welcoming Lindy Zamora, Brenna Klein and Victor Martin to the Beach.
Lindy Zamora was hired as an Associate Media Relations Director, assisting with the communications efforts for Long Beach State athletics. Tasked with handing press duties for the women’s basketball, men’s volleyball, track and field and women’s soccer teams going forward, Zamora has extensive experience in collegiate athletics including in the Big West, most recently having worked at Cal State Fullerton.
Along with one year with the Titans, Zamora also has relevant Division I media relations experience at East Carolina, Loyola-Chicago, and UCLA.
Joining the administrative staff is Brenna Klein, who will serve as one of two Assistants to the Athletics Director, a busy position that oversees a number of areas in the department including travel, corporate trade, and telephones as well as oversight and execution of Long Beach State’s special events along with Kellyn Brawley.
Klein comes from an athletics background, pitching and serving as the team captain in softball at Le Moyne College in upstate New York before working for two seasons as an assistant volleyball and softball coach at Manhattanville College, also in New York. Returning to her native California, Klein has worked for two companies as an administrative assistant before joining the team at Long Beach State.
Rounding out the new additions is Victor Martin. A standout thrower with the Long Beach State Track and Field team, Martin concurrently worked as a staff member with the LBSU Events Operations staff beginning in 2014, and following his graduation, started work as an operations assistant. After ably filling in for the opening over the fall, Martin has since been promoted to Assistant Director of Facilities, Operations and Event Management, where his duties will include oversight of event operations for multiple sports including women’s soccer, women’s basketball and baseball.
