Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown Second Round Cancelled Due To Weather

BOULDER CITY, Nev. - Second round play of the 2016 Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown was cancelled due to lightning in and around the Boulder City area.

Monday's second round was scheduled for an 8 a.m. shotgun start at Boulder Creek Golf Club, but as the 19-team field was preparing to head out to their respective holes to begin the round, lightning was seen touching down on parts of the course.

The three-day, 54-hole Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown will now become a 36-hole tournament as Tuesday's forecast is expected to improve.  Pairings will remain the same for the final 18-holes for the 8 a.m. shotgun start.
