Cross-Battle Receives Career Achievement Award From USA Volleyball

LONG BEACH, Calif. -- Two-time National Player of the Year and Long Beach State great Tara Cross-Battle was honored as an All-Time Great Player by USA Volleyball at their annual banquet on Wednesday. Cross-Battle was the first four-time Olympian in USA Volleyball history, competing in the 1992, 1996, 2000 and 2004 Olympics.
In the fall, Cross-Battle has enshrined in the Volleyball Hall of Fame and added to her long list of awards with the Flo Hyman All-Time Great Female Player Award (Indoor) from USA Volleyball. Cross-Battle was also a four-time All-American at Long Beach State and led the Beach to its first-ever NCAA title in 1989.
