49ers Complete Day Two At Ka'anapali Collegiate Classic

KA'ANAPALI, Maui - After two rounds of play at the Ka'anapali Collegiate Classic at Ka'anapali Golf Course, Long Beach State finished day two in 16th place after posting a 306.
LBSU fell seven positions in the team standings after posting an opening round 288. The 49ers have a two-round score of 26-over 594.
Thirteenth-ranked Oklahoma remained on top of the 19-team field at 11-under 557 as the Sooners hold a six-shot lead over No. 12 Georgia (-5) in second and a eight-stroke lead over No. 35 North Carolina State (-3) in third.
For the second day in a row, junior Jonny Hogan led the way for the 49ers, carding a 79 to fall 24 spots in the standings to tie for 25th at two-over 144.
Senior Daniel Chian posted a 75 to tie for 29th at three-over while fellow classmate Michael Chen is six shots behind at nine-over after shooting a 76 to tie for 64th.
Freshman Spencer Koch remained tied for 84th after shooting another 78 for a 14-over, while senior Kevin Lee improved by three shots for a 77, tying for 89th at 15-over.
Zach Healy of Georgia leads the field of 102 players at eight-under 134.
Final round play concludes on Sunday with a 10:30 a.m. (PST) shotgun start. LBSU will be paired with Bowling Green, Gonzaga and UC Santa Barbara.
