Dirtbags Begin MLB Postseason

Long Beach, Calif. - The Major League Baseball playoffs begin Tuesday night, and a total of five former Dirtbags could factor into postseason baseball this year. Troy Tulowitzki and Marco Estrada will represent the AL East champion Toronto Blue Jays, Jared Hughes and Vance Worley are both postseason pitching candidates for the Pittsburgh Pirates, and Branden Pinder is also postseason eligible for the New York Yankees.
The playoffs begin in New York as the Yankees host the Houston Astros in the AL Wild Card Game Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN, with the winner advancing to face Kansas City on Thursday. Pinder was not included on the Yankees’ Wild Card Game roster, but could be included later in the postseason.
In the National League, Pittsburgh hosts the Chicago Cubs Wednesday at 8 p.m. on TBS in the Wild Card Game and would advance to play the St. Louis Cardinals on Friday night at 6:30 ET.
