Black & Gold Scrimmage To Be Held Saturday

Long Beach, Calif. - Long Beach State's men's basketball program will open doors on their final intrasquad scrimmage this Saturday, as the team hosts its Black & Gold scrimmage at 10 a.m. in the Walter Pyramid.
Returning players Travis Hammonds, Branford Jones, Temidayo Yussuf and Justin Bibbins and Anson Moye will be joined by 2013-14 starter A.J. Spencer and a host of new faces as the team continues to practice in advance of the season opener on November 14.
The 49ers are excited to welcome a trio of Division I transfers who are eligible this season in 6-6 guard Nick Faust from Maryland, 6-6 Forward Roschon Prince from USC, and 6-7 forward Gabe Levin from Loyola Marymount. Another LMU transfer, Evan Payne, is ineligible in his redshirt season as a Division I transfer, but can participate in Saturday's scrimmage.
The Beach brings in a strong freshman class of forwards Mason Riggins and LaRond Williams along with guard Noah Blackwell, who join two other first-year 49ers in redshirt freshman Alex Rifkind and sophomore Quentin Shropshire.
Admission is free to the scrimmage which will be held in the Walter Pyramid.
